I started Y7 Studio at 26 with nothing but frustration with existing yoga options and a stubborn belief that I could create what I desired - I turned that frustration into fuel. Since launching in 2013, Y7 has expanded with studios across New York, Los Angeles, and Austin while being globally recognized as a brand that has redefined the industry.
Sarah was named as one of Entrepreneur’s 100 Most Powerful Women for 2019. Featured on the cover of September 2018 Inc. Magazine’s Annual Inc. 5000 List, named All-Star Entrepreneur of the Year by Inc. Magazine and has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Vogue, Bazaar, Entrepreneur, Shape, InStyle, Refinery29, Women’s Health and more. She is a certified 200 HR RYT, author and sought-after speaker on entrepreneurship and wellness. She earned success with pure drive and dedication, all which led to an acquisition of the company in 2024.

While I may have stumbled into entrepreneurship, I didn't stumble into success. I built Y7 Studio with intention—from a single basement studio to a nationally recognized brand. It wasn’t easy, but every challenge taught me something invaluable.
Along the way I learned how to:
Build systems that scale without losing the magic.
Navigate rapid growth while maintaining quality, culture, and customer experience..
Make tough decisions about hiring, firing, expansion, and resource allocation.
Attract and work with investors (raising over $10M) without losing control of the company vision.
Position for strategic opportunities including the eventual successful acquisition of Y7 Studio.
But more importantly, I learned how to stay grounded , nurture and maintain relationships, and find light in the process—even during the darkest days.
